Te Reo Maori
Te Reo Maori is a living and relevant language and an official language of New Zealand. By gaining both language knowledge and cultural knowledge students learn new ways to think about, question and interpret the world and their place in it. Te Reo Maori can be introduced into everyday activities and routines e.g. numbers, days of the week, colours and greetings, with music & movement, the arts e.g. weaving, puzzles, books (both Bilingual and Te Reo ) and storytelling. Learning about New Zealand’s unique native ecosystems will lead to a better understanding of the importance ecology.
